Late prophet Ajanaku's wife moves to rented apartment as his family fight over his assets

Joy Ajanaku, the wife of the late spiritual leader of Christ Victory Chapel International, prophet Ireti Ajanaku, who died August 18th (or 22nd), has been forced to move out of her matrimonial home into a rented apartment after her husband's family allegedly made life difficult for her after the prophet passed on. 



According to reliable sources, the ministry's board moved Joy Ajananku and her children out of her husband's Lagos home into a 3-bedroom flat in Abule Egba, Lagos after constant harassment from the prophet's family, who are insisting that Joy is not legally married to their son.

Joy and Ireti Ajanaku lived together for 7 years before finally formalizing their union with a court wedding in 2010 but the family insist that the wedding never took place...and want her removed as the man's next of kin. Family members are now fighting over his assets said to be worth millions of Naira. 

Despite having issue's her late husband's family, Joy Ajanaku is on great terms with members of the church her husband left behind. The ministry's board agreed to install her as their new leader and said the late prophet anointed her as the chosen one before his death. They also said they have a wedding certificate to prove that she was truly married to their late spiritual leader. Joy and some members of the church are getting ready to take late Ajanaku's family to court over his estate.

Yvonne Nelson Was Never My Lover - Dammy Krane

Only 19, hip-hop act Dammy Krane has made his presence felt in the music industry. In this interview, he tells how he ran away from school to concentrate on music.

When did you discover your talent in music?

I started singing when I was six, joined the toddlers’ choir in church when I was only eight. I was doing back up songs and dancing for other artistes at the age of 11. Professionally, I started music when I got signed on to Tuface’s label, Hypertek.




How supportive were your parents?

They were not supportive; besides, I had not seen my mum for 10 years. She lives in the United States of America where she is an event manager and manager to some Fuji artistes. I am from a polygamous family, the only child of my mum but I was brought up by my grandmother.

Did you lobby Tuface to sign you on his label?

No, I did not. About two years ago, there was a party at a hotel in Victoria Island where a number of artistes were invited. One of my friends Iyad, a white guy was also invited so he took me along. Iyad later invited me over to a corner where he sat with Tuface. Tuface mentioned that he had listened to some of the collabos I did with other artistes and also watched one of my performances. He then asked if I was signed on to any label. Of course I was not and Tuface signed me unto Hypertek.

You were doing your own thing before Hypertek…

Of course I was. When I was in Redeemers University, I was a local champion there. I used to do a lot of free styling and collabos. I had a song ‘Uni Girls’ that was popular in a lot of universities. It was a Fuji pop song. The buzz created by the music got me a job as the face of Dynamix magazine.

With the kind of music you do, are you not scared of incurring the wrath of the authorities of your university?

They don’t support entertainment and that was why I left. I had to leave so that I won’t be rusticated. Everybody in school loved me and I was in my first year studying microbiology. I even ran away from home, though I am back. I was living and working in different studios and was what you would classify as a studio rat. Leaving school was a risk I had to take and I hope to go back someday to study business management this time around.

You must have been influenced by bad friends…

I was 17 then and now I am 19. I don’t think I have ever had bad friends and that is why I don’t have tattoos or piercings. I don’t even think I will be getting any in the future because of the kind of discipline I had growing up. If you remember the kind of home you are from, you won’t want to engage in certain things. I don’t drink or smoke either. I am naturally hyperactive .

Your genre of music is quite different…

I call it 21st century music and it’s a fusion of Fuji, hip hop and R&B. Some people call it concoction music but I don’t mind.

Being a Hypertek artiste must have given you some kind of leverage…

Yes, it has changed things because Tuface is a legend and that is how people see him. For him to have chosen me shows that there is something I have that others don’t. Some people think that I am riding on his back to fame but it is not so and that is why you don’t see me and Tuface together. He leaves me to do my own thing. He even tells me that without Hypertek, I would still have made it. That statement makes me want to do things more on my own. He once told me that he signed me on because he saw himself in me. That is very encouraging.

How did you come about the name Dammy Krane?

My real name is Oyindamola Johnson-Hunga. My mum is from Lagos State while my dad is from Ado-Odo Ota in Ogun state. I was with my brother one day and he asked me what I wanted to achieve as an artiste and I said I want to uplift the industry. He just started calling me Dammy the Caterpillar and later he changed it to Dammy Krane.

There is so much competition. How are you coping?

I don’t believe in competition so I don’t even think about it. I believe that once you are in the industry, your focus should be how to make yourself relevant. My success in a short while can only be attributed to God, my family and my fans.

Which song shot you into the limelight?

That must be my first song, ‘My dear.’ That song was inspired by the fact that I had been doing a lot of collabos and people were asking for a single.

Should we be expecting an album from you soon?

An album is dependent on the demand I get. Right now, I am trying to create a buzz for my music so hopefully, I am looking at towards the end of the year or sometimes thereafter.

Who are those you look up to apart from Tuface?

I look up to the likes of Dbanj, Psquare and KWAM1.

What don’t you like about being in the limelight?

Being in the limelight is a challenge in itself and as an artiste have to be careful about how you handle thing you because there are so many uncertainties. Personally, I have resolved that when life throws me a lemon, I catch it and make lemonade out of it.

Don’t you consider your age a challenge?

I don’t think I am that young. Judging by what obtains in western countries, I am even too old. In this industry, the younger you are, the better. You also need to be intelligent to make it in this industry.

How do you handle female fans?

I grew up with women; my managers are women, so, I am always with women.

You have a unique way of dressing. Is that a marketing strategy?

That is just me. I don’t think it’s a deliberate act. I dress to look good and make my fans happy.

If you were not doing music, what do you think you would have been doing?

Maybe I would have been an actor. I really can’t tell because I have never given life outside music a thought.

Does that explain your relationship with Yvonne Nelson?

That was just a rumour from mischief makers. Yes, she is my friend but we have never been lovers. We met on the set of a movie and we took a picture together. People saw the picture and decided to draw their conclusions from that. I was surprised but not happy. I was on tour when the story broke and I was slightly distracted.

Your single ‘Condom Sir’ generated some controversy…

A lot of people think the song is lewd but it is a safe sex campaign. I am only preaching safe sex .

Anglican Archbishop Ignatius Kattey Released By Kidnappers

Reporters has learnt that Anglican bishop Ignatius Kattey, who was kidnapped nine days ago by an armed gang in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, has been released by his abductors.



Kattey is the second highest-ranking Anglican prelate in Nigeria.
SaharaReporters spoke to Archbishop Kattey’s daughter, Margaret, who confirmed her father’s release. She disclosed that the bishop returned home last night around 8:00 p.m. He was “hale and hearty,” according to his daughter.




Another family source declined to say if any ransom was paid to secure the bishop’s release. However, a police source in Rivers State told SaharaReporters that several millions of naira was shelled out to the kidnappers from contributions made by several state governments as well as the office of the Nigerian president.

“No way they [kidnappers] would have released him if not for the money,” the police officer said.

Osita Iheme a.k.a 'Pawpaw' joins forces with PHCN

Nollywood actor and one of the prime movers of African Interest Initiative Movement ( AIIM), Osita Iheme,MFR, has joined forces with the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, as he calls on Nigerians to be vigilant and protect power installations.

Pawpaw made this call against the backdrop of the alarming rate at which power cables and installations are being vandalised on daily basis.

He implored all and sundry to “Be on guard and help protect our common interest”,  lamenting that vandals and thieves are slowing down the wheels of progress in the power sector. “A situation where power cables and installations are easy prey to vandals is totally unacceptable”.

That is why the African Interest Initiative Movement {AIIM} is calling on Nigerians to reciprocate by watching over and protecting whatever the government installs to boost generation cum distribution of light in Nigeria.

Cristiano Ronaldo renews contract with Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has renewed his contract with the club, which had been due to expire in 2015, the Spanish giants confirmed on Sunday.

The Portuguese international will attend a ceremony at 1:45 pm (1145 GMT) with Real president Florentino Perez at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium to mark the renewal of his deal, the club said on its website.

The 28-year-old’s record since joining Madrid from Manchester United for a then world record 94 million euros back in 2009 has been phenomenal with the Portuguese scoring 203 times in 203 appearances.

Real Madrid did not give details of the contract extention, but Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that the deal will run until 2018 and make Ronaldo the best paid player in the world.

“The salary of the player will be close to 20 million euros, making him the best paid footballer in the world,” it said.

Four-time World Player of the Year Lionel Messi was the previous highest paid player in Spain with a salary of 16 million euros a season.

The deal ends a series of drawn out negotiations that began back at the end of the 2011-12 season.

Speculation then mounted that the Portuguese would leave the Spanish capital after he said he was “sad” in September last year and was believed to be upset at the lack of support offered to him by the club in his quest to reclaim the Balon d’Or, which Messi has won for the past four years.

However, any chance that Ronaldo could make a sensational return to Manchester United or indeed to big-spending French duo Paris Saint-Germain or Monaco now seems a long shot with the player set to under contract until he is 33.

Despite the speculation, Perez was always confident that the player would renew his contract and end his career at Real.

“Ronaldo wants to retire at Real Madrid, and we want him to retire here, just like [Zinedine] Zidane and so many other great players did,” Perez said in July when asked about the reports that Ronaldo was planning to leave the Spanish side.

Since then Perez has splashed over 90 million euros once more on Gareth Bale.

The Welshman’s transfer from Tottenham was finally sealed at the start of September and he made his debut for the club alongside Ronaldo on Saturday, with both men scoring in the 2-2 draw at Villareal.

Bale is just the latest in a string of “galactico” signings, Real president Perez has made during two spells in charge of the club, in a drive to boost their commercial revenue and success on the pitch.

Auditors Deloitte’s latest Money League report showed that Real had become the first football club to generate more than 500 million euros a year, whilst Forbes ranked them as the most valuable sports team in the world last month with an estimated value of $3.3 billion.

Man Arrested For Branding His Name On His Girlfriend's Private Parts (PHOTO)

A man was reportedly arrested last week for branding his initials on his girlfriend's vaginal area.

Police say, 49-year-old Christopher Jackson from Arizona, allegedly used a branding tool and a butane torch to burn the initials "CJ" onto his girlfriend while she was unconscious.



Although the incident reportedly happened in May, the victim came forward just recently claiming she was too scared to come before.



According to court records, Jackson asked his girlfriend to go out dancing after a baseball game. When his girlfriend said she was too tired, Jackson allegedly offered her pills to stay awake, but she ended up passing out.

The victim believes she was drugged on purpose.
She awoke in severe pain in Jackson's bed. She told police that Jackson had "bragged" to her that he'd done that to other girlfriends in the past, and explained that he wanted to do the same thing to her because "her vagina was his," court documents state.

Police searched Jackson's home and allegedly found his butane torch and brand.
Jackson was booked into jail on a charge of aggravated assault with serious physical injury.

Catholic Priest Jailed For 50 Years For Producing Child Porn

A Kansas City-area priest whose case led to a criminal conviction against his bishop will likely spend the rest of his life in a federal prison after being sentenced to 50 years on Thursday for producing or attempting to produce child pornography.

The Rev. Shawn Ratigan pleaded guilty in August of last year to five counts – one for each of his five young victims. He was charged in May 2011 after police received a flash drive from his computer containing hundreds of images of children, most of them clothed, with the focus on their crotch areas.

Ratigan, 47, apologized to his victims and their families before learning his punishment and asked the judge for the statutory minimum sentence of 15 years for each count, with the terms to all run at the same time.

"Prison is hell," Ratigan said. "I know I deserve 15 years, but 50 years? Come on, I don't think so."

His public defender, Robert Kuchar, argued that Ratigan's offenses weren't as bad as those of other child pornographers whose photos are more graphic and often include images of the victims participating in sexual acts.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Katharine Fincham described Ratigan as a serial sex offender who was arrogant and had a sense of entitlement he thought would keep him from getting caught. She said he deserved the long sentence because he violated the trust of his victims and their families by using his position as a clergyman to get close enough to them to take illicit photos of the children.

A computer technician working on Ratigan's laptop in December 2010 found hundreds of troubling images of young girls and reported it to officials with the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. Instead of turning the photos over to police or reporting suspicions about Ratigan, Bishop Robert Finn sent him away for psychiatric evaluation and later ordered him to stay at a convent where he could say Mass for the sisters and stay away from children.

The photos were given to police in May 2011 after Ratigan violated Finn's orders.

Jackson County prosecutors charged Finn and the diocese in October 2011 with one misdemeanor charge each of failing to report suspected child abuse, because of the five-month delay between when the photos were found on Ratigan's computer and when the diocese reported him to police.

Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said Finn and the diocese were required under state law to report the discovery to police because the images gave them reason to believe a child had been abused.

Finn was convicted of one count last September and sentenced to two years of supervised probation. The charge against the diocese was dropped.

If Finn abides by a set of stipulations from the judge, his conviction will be wiped from his record next year.

On Thursday, parents of one of Ratigan's victims said a 50-year sentence was sufficient so that he will never be able to harm the children again.

"We witnessed our outgoing, vibrant little girl become depressed, withdrawn, anxious," her mother said, sobbing at times. "She's too scared now to trust anyone of authority."

Complaints against Ratigan, who was ordained in 2004 at the age of 38, began piling up in 2009 as parents became concerned he was spending too much time with children and taking too many photos of the youths while they played and participated in church events.

A May 19, 2010, letter from St. Patrick School Principal Julie Hess mentioned how several people had complained that Ratigan was taking compromising photos of children and allowed them to sit on his lap and reach into his pocket for candy.

Vicar General Robert Murphy, who received the letter, spoke with Ratigan about setting boundaries with children, then gave a summary to the bishop. Finn later acknowledged that Murphy had briefed him on the memo, but he didn't read it until a year later.

The diocese issued a statement on behalf of Finn after Ratigan's sentencing, apologizing for the priest's actions and saying many steps have been taken to protect children since his arrest.

"To victims of abuse, their families and the community at large, I renew my heartfelt apology and firm pledge to make our Catholic institutions second to none in the protection of children and the vulnerable," Finn said in the statement.

Kuchar said he plans to appeal Ratigan's sentence.

A man was picked up by police in April on suspicion on burglary but after police searched his house, they videotapes of him involved in an even more shocking crime.

41-year-old Graham Redfearn was arrested when police searched his home and found pornographic videos of the 41-year-old having sex with a mare, and other footage of him having sex with two dogs.

Redfearn told the British officers that he was "experimenting" and that he'd "just lay on the bed [and] the dog did the rest," according to the Metro.

Police believe that Redfearn intended to share his videos with others. He admitted to two charges of sexual activity with a horse and dogs and two charges of possessing extreme pornographic images.

Redfearn had also posted Facebook statuses that said he was looking to work with horses and had experience with "stud work."

According to court records, Redfearn said he had been abused and raped by a German Shepherd when he was 12 years old.

Although the video showed him having sex with the horse, Redfearn avoided jail time because no evidence could be found that the animal was distressed.

Man, 45 Brutally Rapes 11-Year-Old Girl, Leaves Her Bleeding

A 45-year-old married man with five kids has been arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command for allegedly raping an 11-year-old female primary school pupil in Etegwe community, Yenagoa local government area of the state.

According to report, the suspect lured his neigbour's little daughter to an uncompleted building, where he stuffed her mouth with handkerchief, brutally raped her and left her bleeding.

It was gathered from the sister of the victim that she immediately rushed her bleeding sister to private hospital for first aid treatment after she came back home, crying and bleeding.

Further investigation showed that the arrested man simply identified as Omo, was reported to be in the habit of the alleged “immoral act” with kids in the neighbourhood.

A mother whose son died 18 years ago pickled him in alcohol and stashed his corpse in the basement where she has cared for him ever since... all so his son can learn to love him.

Tsiuri Kvaratskhelia keeps Joni Bakaradze's body entombed in a wooden coffin beneath the family home in Georgia, eastern Europe. But despite having died in 1995, the 22-year-old has remained almost perfectly mummified, thanks to his mother's constant love and attention. And every year on his birthday she has even given him a change of clothes - until four years ago when decay finally made the feat impossible.

Joni, whose cause of death remains unknown, is finally beginning to decompose since illness prevented Mrs Kvaratskhelia from giving him the daily care he needs.

Monkey Bites off and Eats Baby's Testicles at Zoo

A mother watched in horror as a monkey tore off one of her eight-month-old baby's testicles at a Chinese zoo before running off and eating it.

The shocking incident, is understood to have taken place at the Guiyang Qianling Wildlife Park in Guìyáng, the capital of Guizhou province in Southwest China.

The mother was changing the infant's dirty nappy when the animal attacked, ripping off the testicle before dropping it onto the ground.

An old man reportedly picked it up but a monkey then snatched it out of his hand before scampering away and eating it before it could be caught.

A Chinese news reports shows the baby recovering in a hospital bed with his mother looking over him. His injuries are not life threatening.

The number of monkeys at the park has rocketed from 70 to 500 in the last few years, according to Chinese news reports.

Although they are fed three times a day by keepers, members of the public like to feed the monkeys too and while there are signs warning against doing so, they do not seem to be enforced.

Other footage shows one of the monkeys attacking a little girl, nipping her on the fingers as she reaches over to pet it.

The report mentions that the monthly incidents involving the monkeys at Guiyang, of varying degrees of severity, are running in the hundreds.
